Make a positive difference in another student's seneca journey


Peer Mentors will provide valuable personal connections to new Seneca students by answering questions, providing referrals, and assisting first semester students in their transition to Seneca in accordance with the program's curriculum. 


Key Expectations:

Mentors will volunteer in a mentorship capacity to:

  • Share their experiences and knowledge
  • Connect new students to campus support services and resources
  • Promote academic, personal, and social success among new students

Qualifications & Expectations:

  • Be available to mentees in accordance with the program curriculum
  • Be enrolled full-time Seneca student during 
  • Support a group of up to 10 first-year students 
  • Commit an average of three to five hours per week to communicate with your mentees through an easy-to-use platform
  • Be in good academic standing

 

Enhance your leadership skills by becoming a peer mentor.

  Program Requirements:

  Completion of:
  • Online application by given deadline
  • Sign-up for and attend a peer mentor interview from February 12 to February 16.
  • Attend mandatory mentor training on February 26 OR February 27
  • Participation in additional training throughout the semester
  • Attendance at the Seneca Student Leadership Conference encouraged
